I am obsessed with pop-tart toaster pastries! Not only do I like them for breakfast but as a snack too, especially cherry or strawberry ones. So when I was eating one today, I thought it would be cool to make some for my dolls to enjoy!
These are very easy and very fun! Let's get started!
First you'll need some ingredients....supplies! ;)
- Tan felt
- White or brown felt (or whatever color you'd like the icing to be)
- Glue (I used hot glue)
- Different colors of thread
- Sewing needle
- Puffy paint or other decorations (optional)
- And, a parent/guardian to help you!
Once you have all that you need, cut out a rectangle out of tan felt.
It will need to be an inch an half wide.
And, two and a half inches long.
Cut out two of those! :)
Then cut out some white felt. Give it a squiggly look to be more realistic. This is going to be your icing!
Now to get out that needle and thread. Start making simple stitches anywhere on the felt. You can jump around, it doesn't matter and doesn't have to be perfect. I alternated with three different colors of pinks, but you can do any color you'd like. (Also, if you don't prefer sewing, I'm sure some thin tip felt markers would work good too!) :)
Can you guess what we're making?
Yep, that's right, sprinkles!!
Here's the back...see, it doesn't have to be perfect, because weren't gonna cover all that up with glue!
When you're finished making sprinkles, glue the pop-tart together!
Looks so good!!!
Here's another way to make a pop-tart, if your doll is a chocolate lover!
Cut out another two tan rectangles, and dark brown felt for the icing.
Glue together, then drizzle on some brown puffy paint! Yum!! :)
Make sure the glue is dry before giving them to your doll. Don't they look delicious?
Kenley loves her pop-tart! She's ready to dig in...
I hope you have fun making one for your doll! If you do, I'd love to see! Feel free to send me a picture at firstname.lastname@example.org
Enjoy! What's your favorite kind of pop-tart? :)
